Summary

Join us for an engaging tour of the historic Harvey Quarry site and the scenic Kona Hills Campground. We’ll begin at the base of the quarry, where you’ll observe approximately six distinct rock formations. From there, we’ll ascend the formation to explore a striking area of exposed stromatolite fossils. The tour continues through the campground to the back rock outcropping, offering sweeping views of Marquette and eastward toward Harvey. We’ll conclude at the front rock outcropping, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking 270-degree views of Lake Superior.
