Film Synopsis

“Of Wood” is a unique stop motion film created over four years and 2,600 hours of filming and progressively carving images into a large round of wood. It examines the role of wood in daily life through the ages and comments on the impact of consumerism on our lives. Creator Owen Klatte teaches animation at the University of Milwaukee, and has worked on projects like The Nightmare before Christmas, James and the Giant Peach, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
